Living Room and Dining Room Renovation – Poitiers

Poitiers fireplace designed by Mathilde Labrouche

Just to remind you: we operate without any geographical restrictions!

In this project, our client was facing a number of challenges:

  • A spiral staircase deemed dangerous for her grandchildren, whose bedrooms are upstairs
  • A significant loss of energy, as the floor is only occupied occasionally
  • A space that lacks cohesion, notably featuring a bar that isn’t very popular

Our mission: to rethink the whole space whilst retaining key existing features, such as the verdigris and the wallpaper, as well as a carefully selected range of furniture, light fittings and artworks.

Our services:

Enclosing the stairwell for greater security and improved thermal performance

Creation of a bespoke bar and bookcase, defining the space and providing an elegant transition between the dining room and the living room

Overall harmonisation work: addition of light fittings, colours, shelving, recesses, cladding and occasional furniture

The result: a modernised space, thought through down to the smallest detail.

Highlights of the project:

Mathilde Labrouche’s work centred on the fireplace is a wonderful discovery: Mathilde Labrouche – Amélie du Chalard
The red marble at the bar, and the ‘Hashira’ pendant light above the table.
